The door creaks shut, and you glance about the dim interiors of the repurposed observatory. Glass enclosures along the walls house a menagerie of beasts, and all are silent, eyes on you as you meander past. At the far end the floor opens up into an underground aquarium, and you watch the elusive figures slink past beneath your feet. Then all at once, a shadow falls upon you, and a shriek escapes as you stumble away from the water. Rasping screams and sharp clicks accompany leathery wings as the guardian drives the stranger back and back, out into the darkness of the night.
