Limited Spots to Request Custom Sweater!
Autumn is here, and with it comes those chilly temperatures that just make you want to bundle up in a nice, cozy sweater.
I've gathered enough Saltanta fur for a few sweaters now, so I'm opening requests on a first come, first serve basis. One sweater will also be raffled off later this year to celebrate the arrival of winter.
Drop me a message if you are interested, or stop by to visit! I just took a batch of pumpkin cookies out of the oven this morning.
Soza's Recipe of the Month
Autumn is here, and with it has come one of my favorite foods—pumpkin! Here's a delicious recipe of mine...let me know if you make it! ~Soza
1 cup sugar
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup shortening/butter OR 3/8 cup canola oil
1 tablespoon grated orange peel (optional)
2 cups all-purpose flour*
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional)
Heat oven to 375*F (190*C).
Mix wet ingredients, sugar, and orange peel. Add dry ingredients except raisins, nuts, and/or chocolate chips. Mix. Add raisins, nuts, and/or chocolate chips. Stir.
Drop rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.** Bake until light brown, 8-10 minutes. Immediately remove and cool.
*If you use self-rising flour, omit the baking powder, baking soda, and salt. You can make these gluten free by using 1 1/3 cups brown rice flour and 2/3 cup soy flour (or your favorite GF flour brand).
**If you chill the dough for a bit, it will get firm enough to scoop and form if you prefer more uniform cookies.
