As a young chick, this Reganta Plumaro is quite loud, though its vocalizations are on the higher end of the sound spectrum, almost out of human auditory range. Its parents have no trouble hearing the cries, however, and spend much of the first few weeks after it hatches rushing about to gather food in order to appease the demanding chick.
