Since hatching from an egg, this juvenile has gradually grown tufts of thick, warm wool. Possessing a wide-ranging and voracious appetite, it spends much of the day snuffling around for food: it grazes on grass and lichens and digs up roots and nuts with its hardy hooves. At night, it snuggles up to its mother alongside its many littermates for warmth, milk, and grooming.
