Hopping about seems to be this young creature’s favorite pastime, when it isn’t squawking loudly for food yet again. The depth of its appetite is astonishing, as is its fast growth rate. Though its wings are too small for flight yet, it flaps them vigorously in regular attempts. Iridescent feathers mark its throat, tail, and wings. Its clawed toes are mobile enough to hold small items, such as twigs or food pellets.
