Ear flapping is a common behavior for this juvenile, possibly to help with cooling, though it seems to aid with swimming as well when underwater. Its smooth skin is soft and slightly rubbery. Despite the eerie twitching of the tentacles that surround its double trunk, it is quite docile and seems to enjoy pats on the head and back, sometimes returning the favor with both of its trunks.
