Sleeping in the cool shade of a shallow cave or overhang is this juvenile’s favorite daytime activity. As twilight falls, it wakens and becomes quite playful, leaping and pouncing around with its littermates. On bright moonlit nights, it will sometimes gaze at the sky and howl alongside its parents, though its undeveloped vocal cords can only produce a soft, squeaky wail.
