There is a double gated entry area leading into the lab. As you open the innermost gate, you are greeted by Laika, the Suna Hundo puppy, sniffing your pockets - probably hoping for snacks. You scratch her behind the ears as you admire the Scuiro playground built above your head. Bridges and platforms span the room's upper space. The scientist seems to always have several creatures outside their housing units. Right now you see him playing with Raven, his beautiful dark-furred Avka Felo. Once you've gotten what you need from the lab, you manage to leave without letting any creatures escape.
