"Uninhabited" isn't how one would describe this lab. Sunlight filters in through hastily refurbished windows and onto shelves of potted succulents and flowering plants. Loose post-it notes litter the lab. From one side of the room hums a simple incubator. The wall directly across is lined with assorted vivariums, many which are still incomplete. Nestled in a lightless corner is a makeshift office cubicle. In it stands an unkempt desk with four monitors set up on it. Beside it is a minifridge dwarfed by the stack of empty takeout containers upon it. A sleeping bag on the floor squirms.
