The lab door looks like any other in the facility, save for the name inscribed below the lab number: Helacrates. Upon entering, you find shelves crammed full of supplies and potted plants wherever there was space to fit one. Materials and samples are meticulously labelled and organised, but you notice an island of chaos in the corner of the lab: a stack of lab notebooks sits beside a computer terminal covered in sticky notes of equations, PCR cycle times, and doodles. The scientist behind the computer barely notices you entering and greets you with a somewhat awkward, "oh, hello...!"
