As you step into this dark lab, you notice that the room has a charming, playful feel with Halloween decorations strewn about. Colorful streamers, plastic Jack-O-Lanterns, and minitaure haunted houses line the desk, walls and shelves. Several hand-carved wooden figurines of ungulate species sit atop the desk, and occupy various spaces between the holiday decor, as if to greet you. You additionally notice several framed documents on a wall proudly listing certificates of thanks for generous donations funding the research of a few species: Silenta Spuristo, Malbenita Beno, and Tera Girafo.
