This is VD's own private hideout. The lab is a cozy, gray-walled room that shows the scientist's mild obsession with succulents and a specific mixture of perfectionism and chaos. An entire counter of various scientific instruments, from microscopes to centrifuges and more, takes the centre of the lab. There are housing units against a white brick wall for the capsules and jouvenile creatures developing under her care, and wide glass doors showing inside the, much larger, main housing area, which reminds of a greenhouse on steroids. You can tell that this must be a biodiversity project lab.
