A door marked "Danger: No Imminent Threats" opens into Niharia's "weyr", as she calls it. The lab is nothing special - your typical messy research area with miscellaneous illustrations of real, extinct, and fantastic animals. Many of the lab's housing units are accompanied by extensive notes on behaviour. The researcher herself often seems to be a hologram, miming actions while something invisible with tiny hands manipulates objects. Strange DNA has been found on swabs from throughout her lab, but attempts to clone the tetraploidal genome have so far failed, possibly due to the aberrant mDNA.
